It's cold here today also. But what else is new in January in STL? It's actually supposed to get in the 50's tomorrow, then back in the deep freeze?

Are you anywhere near those fires? I've stayed in Boulder several times and despite all the lib types, really enjoyed the area, particularly that federal weather facility in the flatirons (is that the correct term--it's been about 5 years since I've been there).

I'm not around Boulder, luckily. The part that is burning is actually the "good" part: small family farms and ranches and various small business operations. They have the fires contained now. They were started by downed power lines.

Yes, NCAR is up against the Flatirons. For people unfamiliar with the area, the Flatirons are a section of the foothills before you really get into the mountains. They are extremely popular with technical and freestyle climbers and usually take at least two out every season. :D

I HATE both teams. That being said, Florida by at least 20.
Agreed. But I say Oklahoma by 35.

It's been a while since I've been excited about a "National Championship" game. Neither of these two teams is unquestionably the best in this country, there are at least 4 or 5 who can make that claim. Its almost enough for me to think a playoff would be a good idea.

Yesterday morning, there was no power....half the city was down. Lasted just an hour....screwed up my day at work...

Today no power, but found out I was the only one! (well almost)

Power surge did a little breaker damage...

The lights are on and my house is warm!

    I got a raise today! I blame Bush. :p
