I don't know if any of you have noticed
    the latest vocabulary change instead
    of Christmas Time.

    Now it's "Gifting Time".

A couple of weeks ago I heard a commercial
and it used this new term. At least I think it's
new, I've never heard it used till this year.

    Anyone else notice it???
May the FORCE be with you!

One of the commercials that is using this
new term is the WeatherTech company pushing
their cup holder that adapts to any cup hole.

I have seen 1 other comm use the "Gifting"
term but I can't remember what is was
    pushing.

I haven't heard that one yet, either. But I'm not paying attention to anything Christmas related until after Thanksgiving.

Amen. I love Christmas, but too much of a good thing is not a good thing. Enjoy Halloween and Thanksgiving, then we can talk Christmas.

One strategy of the Left's war on Christmas that we need to watch out for is the more subtle strategy they tried starting last year:
Rather than seeking to flat- out ban Christmas (That idiot school principal Jennifer Sinclair tried doing that, but it backfired on her and ultimately got her fired), their new strategy is to take specific, beloved elements of Christmas and try to discredit them so that the public will willingly abandon them. For instance, last year, leftists tried to have the song "Baby, it's Cold Outside" banned from public venues on the grounds that they claimed it promotes date- rape (A claim that the original songwriter's daughter has said is a complete crock, but of course liberals have never had a problem with lying to people if they feel the ends justify the means), tried to discredit the special 'Rudolph the Red- Nosed Reindeer' on the grounds that they claimed it promotes bullying (Never mind that the characters who pick on Rudolph for his nose are clearly shown to be IN THE WRONG, and realize the error of their ways by the end of the special), a scumbag college professor claimed that God acted in a "Predatory" manner by impregnating Mary without her consent (Never mind that Scripture clearly says she was willing), a logo company tried to "Rebrand" Santa for modern times by putting out a poll in which they tried to suggest such things as having Santa become female or "Gender- neutral" (Never mind that he was based on the real person St. Nicholas who was A MAN) or be more "Hipster," and a DUmmy even tried to claim that Christmas wrapping paper should be rejected for not being "Environmentally friendly" and replaced with ugly brown paper.
I wouldn't be surprised if they try to continue this insidious strategy this Christmas season. Keep an eye out for liberal scum claiming that 'The Polar Express' will encourage child- abductions, 'The Grinch' promotes burglary, and 'A Christmas Story' featuring a boy who wants a gun for Christmas will encourage school shootings.

The attack on The Christmas Story is that the portrayal of the Asian people in the restaurant is racist. And, that lamp is disgustingly sexist.

As far as wrapping paper goes, has anyone else been getting the emails from Trump fundraisers selling the ultimate Christmas wrapping paper--says TRUMP all over it. It doesn't exactly look too much like Christmas, but it a package done up with it and a nice big red bow would sure rile any lib.
