A small excerpt from the ATF:

Mary Salter, ATF Tampa Field Division public information officer, believes some criminals are purchasing non-serialized and therefore untraceable firearms because their intent is to commit crimes

“ATF, and law enforcement, in general is seeing homemade firearms without serial numbers at crime scenes,” Salter said. “Tracing firearms found at crime scenes to the original purchaser is a valuable tool in law enforcement,” Salter added. “When a homemade firearm is found at a crime scene, investigators are left with a dead end, where a trace of a firearm may generate valuable investigative leads.”

It is perfectly legal for an individual who is allowed to own a gun to build a firearm for themselves. they do not need to be marked or serialized as ones made by a licensed manufacturer do.
I love the sound of liberal heads exploding in the morning!!

Toxically masculine and proud of it!

I will give up my guns when the liberals give up their illegal aliens.

pssst, criminals… The police are going to catch you anyway, serial-number or not. Very few gun-crimes are 'solved' by tracking a serial-number. In fact, some forensic-labs have a special 'number detection' camera that can reconfigure what the number was.

Use a Bow and Arrows, you can hold it horizontal or Vertical and still use it, that should allow the average thug to adjust without any down time.

Did anyone ever hear of zip guns? No mail order, no paper trail, no cylinder spiraling. Made in the back yard on a weekday afternoon.
It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

I should have prefaced this by mentioning the histeria surround the California school shooter and the discovery that the pistol was a ghost gun.

Or in a jail cell. But question: How many crimes have been committed with a ghost gun?
Progressivism is a bottomless pit of absurdity.

It's not just criminals. You can legally buy an 80% complete AR-15 receiver and all other parts complete. You can legally turn it into a functioning AR-15 (except in California, and maybe a few other states) in your garage with a drill press, router and inexpensive jig. With a little effort, you can do it all with anonymous cash.

NOTE: You CANNOT legally sell it or give it away.
