Smothered green beans with carrots and mortadella! Whoo, this is a killer side dish, went well with the ham we cooked tonite!
1 lb fresh green beans
small bag of baby cut carrots
1/4 lb mortadella, 1/4" dice( or Ham)
3 Tbs butter
1 Tbsp garlic powder
Trim the green beans, then soak in cold water for ten minutes
Put green beans and carrots in boiling water for 6 - 7 minutes. Drain and put in a saute pan with salt, mortadella, butter and garlic powder, toss well. When the butter foams, cover pan and continue to cook over medium heat for about 6-7 minutes or until carrots are tender. Serve promptly!
