I'm watching it on TNT right now. I never saw it in a theater, so this is a very belated first impression.

It blows. It's a complete hash of unnecessary crises and unbelievable silliness, like three major crises all stacked on each other so each wildly improbable success is necessary for the next wildly improbable success. The only thing that could make it worse would be Jar-Jar Binks, they've already thrown in the completely-unnecessary little kids.

I don't think I'm gonna make it through the second half of a ninety-minute plot that lasts three hours.

Well, stuck with it til the end after all. Second half not as bad as the first but all sorts of technology like instant communications and instant travel across space and time that weren't ever a part of the story universe before. Puzzling. Weird. A lot of loose end characters and side stories that come and go out of nowhere.

The family took me to the final chapter tonight. Except for not hearing som e of the lines that made my daughter giggle tonight, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

IMA Lonesome Dove man, after the first Star Wars that was enough for me. I wish they would re run Band of Brothers start to finish

I have not watched the latest trilogy at all. I liked the original 3 movies.

I did go see Knives Out over the holidays. It was very entertaining. Lots of twists and turns. Daniel Craig is good as the detective. I love Christopher Plummer and am always glad to see him still working. It's the kind of movie men and women both like.
